Academic Manager – Curriculum & Teacher Development

RIVERTA is a new English center in Thạnh Trị Commune, Vĩnh Long Province (near Định Trung Market, former Bình Đại District, Bến Tre) with a simple mission: to help local children access effective English learning in a fun and practical way, building real communication skills while supporting their studies at school.

We re looking for an experienced educator to lead our academic team and shape how English is taught at RIVERTA.

As our Academic Manager, you will be responsible for designing the curriculum and learning paths for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12, covering levels from Cambridge Starters up to IELTS 5.5. You will build our in-house teaching materials, train and evaluate teachers, and make sure every class meets our quality standards.

- Design the overall curriculum framework and learning paths for each level, from Cambridge Starters to IELTS 5.5.
- Develop in-house teaching materials that combine Cambridge coursebooks with the Vietnamese national English textbooks (SGK), so students build real English skills while still performing well at school.
- Build course frameworks based fully on one coursebook or by combining content from multiple books, depending on the needs of each level.
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, teaching guides, and supplementary materials for each course.
- Review and update the curriculum regularly based on student results and teacher feedback.

- Train teachers on the RIVERTA curriculum, teaching methods, and teaching style.
- Observe classes, give constructive feedback, and support teachers in improving their teaching.
- Evaluate teacher performance and ensure consistent teaching quality across all classes.
- Monitor student progress and learning outcomes to ensure training quality.

- Bachelor s degree in English Language Teaching, English Language, or a related field.
- IELTS 6.0 or above, or an equivalent English qualification.
- Fluent English communication skills (required).
- Experience in curriculum design, content development, or working in an academic/training department.
- Good understanding of Cambridge English programs and the Vietnamese school English curriculum.

- Experience as an Academic Manager, Head Teacher, or in a similar academic leadership role.
- Experience in team management and teacher training.
- Teaching experience with young learners and teenagers.
- Teaching certificates such as TESOL, CELTA, or TKT are a plus.

- Flexible part-time arrangement, mostly remote, with only about 5 on-site days per month.
