We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our core product team. You’ll work with a fast-moving group of engineers, designers, and business analysts to build scalable backend systems that power our product. Your focus will be backend architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Service Development (Python & TypeScript)
+ Build and maintain APIs and event-driven services with FastAPI / Encore and Node.js.
- Data Engineering
+ Model and optimize PostgreSQL databases, implement Row-Level Security, and enforce multi-tenant isolation.
- Cloud & Infrastructure
+ Design AWS architectures (ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Cognito, etc.).
+ Define infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- CI/CD & Dev Experience
+ Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.
+ Champion zero-downtime blue-green or canary releases.
- Collaboration & Quality
+ Participate in design reviews, write clear documentation, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications
- 3+ years building production backends with both Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
- Hands-on experience delivering services in FastAPI or Encore.
- Expertise with PostgreSQL, RLS, and multi-tenant designs.
- Proven ownership of AWS infrastructure via CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Strong GitHub-based CI/CD skills.
- Clear written and spoken English for architecture discussions.
